Rhinoplasty; otherwise known as nose reshaping; or a nose job. Dr Yazdanfar Rhinoplasty is surgery on the nose to either correct its function in the case of breathing difficulties, or as a cosmetic surgical procedure to improve the presentation of the nose. As a rehabilitative surgery for respiration difficulties the surgery is customarily completed by an otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat Doctor), or a plastic surgeon if it is a pcosmetic surgery procedure. There four major classifications of rhinoplasty surgeries.
Incisions for closed rhinoplasty are created by Dr Behnaz completely inside the nostrils. The soft tissues are then unattached from the structural bone and cartilage. Once the bone and cartilage is exposed it can be reconfigured by shaving off or grafting additional bone and cartilage. Closed rhinoplasty is employed for instances when finer reshaping is called for.
For open rhinoplasty the columella (flesh between the nostrils) is divided. This enables the surgeon to further detach the fleshy tissues from the foundational bone and cartilage opening the anatomy of the nose to the surgeon. This procedure is employed for instances where significant reshaping is required.
Secondary rhinoplasty, or revision rhinoplasty is a procedure Dr B Yazdanfar to correct complications from a previous surgical procedure. It is possible that a reconstructive procedure for a breathing problem resulted in unacceptable aesthetic results, or it is possible that a cosmetic surgical procedure produced a nasal obstruction that is causing respiratory problems. In any case secondary rhinoplasty is a complex surgery because of scar tissue that was generated from the earlier surgeries.
Filler rhinoplasty is a less invasive procedure that makes use of injectable fillers to change the contour of the nose. Once the filler is injected beneath the fleshy tissues of the nose it hardens. There are different types of fillers used, some of which endure for several months, and different ones that are permanent.
