Over the counter fat burners are unfortunately becoming common among groups in almost every age range and sex. The growth in sales of these products is of a continued concern for government health agency’s and parents around the country. One thing that contributes to the danger of these products is the addition of Ephedrine contained in the formula to make these fat burners. The reason that Ephedrine is a dangerous product is because it causes the heart rate to rise, which can lead to heart problems or can sometimes cause immediate heart failure.
A few things being done by concerned citizens to do to curb people from purchasing these pills include plans for a healthy diet along with education about the dangerous ingredients used in the product. A challenge these health agency’s face in curbing the consumption would have to be the fact that a greater variety of the masses have begun to abuse these products and it is a problem solely associated with younger women. The government agency’s will have to focus efforts to end the use of these pills, but they have a long road ahead of them to stop this phenomenon.
